Acceptable use and site-add records
Acceptable use
Rum Runner measures how public web pages perform for real visitors. Anyone may add a site. Every added site is reviewed before it can appear in public search, and we may decline to list a site there while it stays available privately to the account that added it.
We may refuse service for any site, including for a paying account. We do so for sites whose content is illegal or extremist, and we report content that appears to be illegal to the appropriate authority.
What we record when a site is added
When a site is added we record the time, how it was added, the account if there is one, and the IP address and browser used.
The IP address and browser are kept in readable form only while the site is under review, and for no more than 120 days. After that we keep a one-way hash, which cannot be turned back into an address. If we refuse service for a site, we keep the full record.
We answer lawful requests from authorities.
